We are BACK with a BANG!
This year’s Day in the Park Festival is confirmed to go ahead on Saturday 14 September! Featuring 3 stages, skateboarding, stalls, a licenced bar, food and lots more, we’ll be back to give the local community another fantastic and FREE event in the heart of Chesham, Buckinghamshire.
We are taking preliminary bookings for food and gift stalls so email email@example.com for more information.
We are also looking for stewards, litter pickers and general helpers. If you are able to donate your time then please email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form.
We are very sad to announce that Neil, our fab Live Music Manager has had to step down from his role due to other commitments. This is a huge loss and we will be sorry to see him go!
But, onwards and upwards – we are now on the hunt for someone to fill this gap. We know that everyone cannot dedicate enough of their time to join our core team, but we are willing to accept applications from anybody who is interested in simply working on the live music stages at Day in the Park, to promoters who would like to get involved with other other projects thoughout the year.

We are very happy to announce that we have been chosen as the BNU Student’s Union Charity of the Year!
This is a fantastic honour for a new organisation like us and we are absolutely over the moon.
Students of Bucks New Uni will be raising funds over the next academic year and the money will be split between ourselves and another charity at the end of the year. These funds will enable us to provide more training and support to students, as well buy some new equipment and offer local young people some brilliant events and workshops.
Thank you to Bucks Student’s Union, and to all the students who voted for us – you are all stars!
We may have cancelled this year’s festival but we have TWO amazing events in its place.
On Saturday 15th September we’ll be dusting off our retro frocks and rocking the old quiff for a classic party in the park – Vintage style!
Music, fashion, drinks and dancing – a great event for all ages. Come and re-live your youth or celebrate fashion and culture through the ages that you never got to see!
On the following weekend, we’ll be giving the youth of Chesham and the surrounding areas a chance to show off their DJ skills to other like minded party people. We have 5 spectacular young DJs spinning all different styles of music on a great soundsystem all afternoon.
What an amazing sunny day we had!!! Olympics on a massive screen, BBQ and bar, plus some superb acoustic music playing all day!
Click here for a summary and photos of the day.
Taking place on Saturday 11th August – a free and fabulous ‘Big Screen’ event broadcasting live action of the Olympic Games and ‘taster’ sports to try!

We regret to announce that we have made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s Day in the Park festival.
Unfortunately we were unable to secure adequate funds to allow us to hold the event in the way we had planned, and we would not feel comfortable going ahead unless we felt confident that we could offer at the very least the same standards of previous events.
This decision has not been taken lightly and we would like to apologise to and thank everybody who has supported us over the past few months.
We now plan to put all our efforts into making next year’s event even bigger and better. However to make this happen, we are appealing for support from the local community.
If you know of any funding opportunities, would like to organise your own fundraising, would like to volunteer as part of the festival team, or have access to festival infrastructure then please get in touch and help us bring Day in the Park back next year with a bang!
Thank you for your understanding,
The Rafe’s Place Team.
We’re looking for some keen and dedicated people to help out at this year’s festival.
There will be many roles to get involved with on the day. If you are interested in stewarding please visit our event page and complete and application form.
